Position Details: Product Manager

Description:

In this position you will lead agile project delivery and connect strategic product vision to execution.

This role requires hands-on expertise in product road mapping, user story management, backlog grooming, and Jira.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to translate business objectives into actionable plans, ensuring on-time, high-quality delivery that meets user needs and furthers product goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive Product Roadmap Planning: Collaborate with product owners and leadership to define, update, and communicate a clear product roadmap aligning with business objectives and market demands.

• Bridge Roadmap to Execution: Break down product roadmap initiatives into detailed user stories and epics, ensuring alignment between strategy and agile delivery.

• Lead Agile Project Management: Facilitate sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and agile ceremonies for effective project execution.

• User Story Management: Write, refine, and prioritize user stories/epics with well-defined acceptance criteria and value focus.

• Backlog Grooming: Proactively manage and optimize product backlogs, ensuring priorities reflect changing business needs and dependencies are addressed.

• Jira Administration and Reporting: Build and maintain Jira projects, boards, workflows, and dashboards; synthesize and report on metrics tied to roadmap progress and team delivery.

• Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Serve as a liaison between business, product, and technical teams; present roadmap updates, progress, and adjustments to senior management and clients.

• Mentor and Enable Teams: Coach teams in agile and product management best practices, fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment.

• Risk, Issue, and Change Management: Identify risks/blockers, escalate as needed, and manage changes to scope or roadmap with stakeholders.

Key Skills and Qualifications

Must-Have Skills

• Product Roadmap Development: Proven ability to define, articulate, and manage end-to-end product roadmaps, including translating vision into actionable plans.

• User Story Management: Advanced skills in story writing, estimation, and prioritization.

• Backlog Grooming: Continuous refinement, prioritization, and optimization of agile backlogs.

• Jira Proficiency: Deep experience managing Jira projects, boards, automation, and advanced reporting.

• Agile/Scrum Methodologies: Strong practical knowledge with flexibility to adapt frameworks as needed.

• Strategic Communication: Ability to communicate priorities, progress, and changes across levels of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Product Management, or related discipline.

• 5+ years’ experience in agile project or product management, ideally with an advisory/consulting background.

• Agile/product certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Master, PMI-ACP,  SAFe).

• Experience with distributed and cross-functional agile teams and exposure to complex product ecosystems.
