Description:
Responsibilities:
• - Lead administration, configuration, and support of *IBM DataPower
Gateway
• across dev, QA, UAT, and production environments.
• Design, deploy, and maintain *Multi-Protocol Gateway, Web Service
Proxy, XML Firewall, API Gateway, SOAP, and REST
• services.
• Own *security configuration
• including *SSL/TLS, certificates, AAA
policies, OAuth, JWT, SAML, LDAP, and encryption standards*.
• Perform *firmware upgrades, patching, backup/restore, domain
management, and disaster recovery planning*.
• Troubleshoot and resolve *complex production incidents*, latency
issues, failed transactions, policy failures, and integration bottlenecks.
• Conduct *performance tuning, capacity planning, and health monitoring
• for high-volume gateway environments.
• Collaborate with application, middleware, network, cloud, and security
teams on service onboarding and platform improvements.
• Define and enforce *operational standards, governance controls,
deployment procedures, and best practices*.
• Support *release management and CI/CD enablement
• for DataPower
deployments.
• Lead *root cause analysis*, problem management, and permanent fixes
for recurring issues.
• Create and maintain *architecture diagrams, runbooks, SOPs, support
documentation, and knowledge articles*.
• Mentor junior administrators and provide technical leadership during
design, implementation, and incident response.
• Required Skills:
• - Strong hands-on experience with *IBM DataPower
Administration/Engineering
• in enterprise environments.
• Deep knowledge of *SOAP, REST, XML, XSLT, XPath, XSD, WSDL, JSON*, and
message transformation/routing.
• Strong expertise in *certificate lifecycle management, SSL/TLS,
authentication/authorization, and gateway security policies*.
• Solid understanding of *networking
• including *HTTP/S, TCP/IP, DNS,
proxies, load balancers, and firewalls*.
• Experience with *high availability, failover, disaster recovery, and
performance optimization*.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for *service, policy, certificate, and
connectivity issues*.
• Familiarity with *Linux/Unix*, scripting, and automation for
operational support.
• Experience working with *monitoring, logging, ITSM, and
incident/change management processes*.
• Preferred Skills:
• - Exposure to *DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and
cloud integration*.
• Understanding of enterprise integration patterns and middleware
ecosystems.
• Proven experience in production support, L3 support, platform
engineering, and stakeholder coordination
