Position Details: SAP RAR Consultant

Description:

We are seeking an experienced SAP RAR Consultant with strong expertise in SAP Revenue Accounting & Reporting (RAR) and hands-on experience in implementing and supporting the 5-Step Revenue Recognition Process.

The ideal candidate should possess a solid understanding of SAP SD (Sales & Distribution) and SAP Finance (FI) modules, enabling seamless integration and accurate revenue recognition processes.

Key Responsibilities
Configure, implement, and support SAP Revenue Accounting & Reporting (RAR) solutions.

Work extensively on the 5-Step Revenue Recognition Process in compliance with accounting standards such as IFRS 15 and ASC 606.

Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP RAR functional specifications.

Collaborate with business stakeholders, finance teams, and technical teams to deliver end-to-end RAR solutions.

Integrate SAP RAR with SAP SD, SAP FI, and other relevant SAP modules.

Perform system configuration, testing, defect resolution, and deployment activities.

Support revenue contract management, performance obligations, and revenue postings.

Participate in requirement gathering, fit-gap analysis, workshops, and solution design discussions.

Prepare functional documentation, test scripts, and user training materials.

Provide production support and troubleshoot revenue recognition-related issues.

Mandatory Skills
5–8 years of SAP experience with strong focus on SAP RAR (Revenue Accounting & Reporting).

Hands-on experience with the 5-Step Revenue Recognition Process.

Strong understanding of IFRS 15 and ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.

Experience in SAP SD (Sales & Distribution) module.

Experience in SAP Finance (FI) module.

Knowledge of revenue contracts, performance obligations, SSP allocation, and revenue postings.

Experience in SAP configuration, testing, and support activities.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills
Experience in SAP S/4HANA environments.

Exposure to SAP RAR implementation or rollout projects.

Knowledge of integration with SAP FI/CO and other SAP modules.

Experience working in global delivery or consulting environments.

Understanding of accounting and financial reporting processes.

Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Commerce, Finance, or related field.

SAP certification in RAR or Finance modules is an added advantage.
