JD-

• Solution Architecture & Design
• Own the end-to-end technical architecture of Appian solutions — data model, process design, interfaces, integrations, and security.
• Translate business and functional requirements into well-structured technical designs aligned to Appian best practices.
• Define and enforce design standards, reusable components, and technical governance across projects.
• Make key architectural decisions around data (Data Fabric / record types), integrations (connected systems, APIs), process models, and
platform configuration.
• Lead design and code reviews to ensure quality, performance, and long-term maintainability.

• Client Engagement & Consulting
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients, building credibility with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Facilitate requirements-gathering workshops, design sessions, and solution walkthroughs.
• Advise clients on Appian capabilities, platform roadmap alignment, and how to maximise value from their investment.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Support scoping, estimation, and solution shaping for new and existing engagements.

• Technical Leadership & Delivery
• Provide technical direction to Appian delivery teams (developers, business analysts, testers).
• Mentor and upskill team members, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
• Oversee delivery across the SDLC, ensuring solutions ship on time and to a high standard.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and guide the team to resolution.
• Contribute to DevOps practices, deployment strategy, and environment management.

• Required Qualifications
• Extensive hands-on experience designing and building on the Appian platform (typically 5+ years, or equivalent depth).
• Proven track record as a lead designer, solution architect, or technical lead on Appian delivery projects.
• Deep understanding of Appian's core capabilities: process models, records, interfaces (SAIL), sites, integrations, and the security model.
• Strong command of solution architecture principles — data modelling, integration patterns, and performance/scalability.
• Demonstrated experience in a client-facing or consulting role, with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience leading and mentoring technical teams.
• Solid understanding of the full software development lifecycle and agile delivery.
• Appian Certified Lead Developer

• Preferred Qualifications
•  Experience with Appian's advanced capabilities: RPA, Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), Process Mining, AI features, and Data Fabric.
• Experience integrating Appian with enterprise systems (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, ServiceNow, REST/SOAP APIs, relational databases).
• Complementary technical skills: SQL, Java/relevant scripting, cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP), CI/CD tooling.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience with pre-sales, estimation, and solution scoping.
